Hijama (Cupping) Done Safely: What to Expect

Türkçe oku →

An old therapy, done with modern hygiene

Wet cupping (hijama) therapy in progress showing sterile cups placed on a patient's back at Zivra Wellcare Düzce

Wet cupping (hijama) can relieve muscle tension and support recovery ——— but only when performed with strict hygiene and honest screening.

Non-negotiables at Zivra Wellcare

  • Single-use, sterile blades and cups ——— opened in front of you
  • Skin disinfection before and after
  • Disposal of all sharp waste as medical waste
  • A health questionnaire first: anticoagulants, diabetes, pregnancy and skin conditions change the plan ——— or rule the session out

What the marks mean

The round marks are not bruises from injury; they're superficial blood drawn to the surface. They typically fade in 5 — 10 days.

When we say no

We decline sessions for anyone on blood thinners without physician clearance, with active skin infection in the area, or with uncontrolled chronic disease. A therapy that cannot say "no" is not a therapy you should trust.
