Hijama (Cupping) Done Safely: What to Expect
An old therapy, done with modern hygiene

Wet cupping (hijama) can relieve muscle tension and support recovery ——— but only when performed with strict hygiene and honest screening.
Non-negotiables at Zivra Wellcare
- Single-use, sterile blades and cups ——— opened in front of you
- Skin disinfection before and after
- Disposal of all sharp waste as medical waste
- A health questionnaire first: anticoagulants, diabetes, pregnancy and skin conditions change the plan ——— or rule the session out
What the marks mean
The round marks are not bruises from injury; they're superficial blood drawn to the surface. They typically fade in 5 — 10 days.
When we say no
We decline sessions for anyone on blood thinners without physician clearance, with active skin infection in the area, or with uncontrolled chronic disease. A therapy that cannot say "no" is not a therapy you should trust.
