What Is Dry Needling — and Who Is It For?
A precise tool for stubborn muscle pain

Dry needling uses a very fine, sterile needle — nothing is injected, hence "dry" — to release myofascial trigger points: tight, irritable knots in muscle that refer pain to other areas.
What happens in a session
1. We map your pain pattern and locate the trigger point by palpation.
2. The needle is inserted briefly into the knot; a quick local twitch response is normal and expected.
3. Most people feel a dull ache or twitch, then a release as the muscle relaxes.
Who responds best
- Chronic neck and back tension
- Tension-type headaches
- Shoulder impingement and rotator-cuff strain
- Sports-related muscle tightness
Dry needling is rarely a standalone cure — at Zivra Wellcare it is paired with movement-based rehabilitation so the release holds.
